PALESTINIAN U.N. BOMBSHELL : Abbas abandons pacts w/- Israel

UNITED NATIONS - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas declared before world leaders Wednesday that he is no longer bound by agreements signed with Israel and called on the United Nations to provide international protection for Palestinians, in the most serious warning yet that he might walk away from engagement with the Jewish state. " It is no longer useful to waste time in negotiations for the sake of negotiations; what is required is to mobilize international efforts to oversee an end to the occupation in line with the resolutions of international legitimacy," he said. " Until then, I call upon the United Nations to provide international protection for the Palestinian people in accordance with international humanitarian law.” In a symbolic moment Wednesday, Abbas raised the flag of Palestine at the United Nations for the first time, with a promise that it will be raised soon in Jerusalem, " the capital of our Palestinian state."

PROPHECY INSIGHTS - No one quite knows what Abbas means when he says he is no longer bound by agreements made with Israel. He has not spelled out the implications. What is clear is that something is about to change. If Abbas were to go through with his demand that Israel assume responsibility for the Palestinians, as the occupying power in the territories , this would require dissolving the Palestinian Authority and the Abbas' resignation. He would then call on protection from the UN to help the Palestinian people being “ occupied by another power ” as he would put it. The UN flew the Palestinian flag for the first time indicating they accept the Palestinians as a nation. Abbas said that he wants this same flag flying over Jerusalem the capital of the new state. There will indeed be a battle for Jerusalem – its coming – soon.

ZECHARIAH 14 v 2 - " For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city."
