' Salvation '

&  The ' TRUE ' Way To Eternal Life

Jesus answered , Verily , verily , I say unto thee . . .

Except a man be  born of water

of  the Spirit ,

he  CANNOT  enter

into the kingdom of God

John 3 v 5

MAN'S  PROBLEM :

' Death ' has been an inherited problem for all mankind , because ALL sin

As by one man sin entered into the world  &  death by sin ,

&  so death passed upon all men , for that all have sinned  -  Romans 5 v 12

GOD'S  SOLUTION :

God provided His Son as an Offering for a  ' basis of forgiveness '

For God so loved the world ,  that He gave His only begotten Son , that

whosoever believeth in Him should not perish , but have everlasting life  -  John 3 v 16

Jesus came bearing the  ' exact nature '  common to all mankind

For what the law could not do , in that it was weak through the flesh , God sending his own

Son in the likeness of sinful flesh  &  for sin , condemned sin in the flesh  -  Romans 8 v 3

- - -  - -  - - -

Jesus strengthened by God  -  overcame temptation  &  sin

The spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him , the spirit of wisdom  &  understanding ,

The spirit of counsel  &  might ,  the spirit of knowledge  &  of the fear of the LORD

&  shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD  -  Isaiah 11 v 2 - 3

After leading a sinless life ,  Jesus gave Himself willingly to Death

1 )  To declare  ' the righteousness '  of God

For all have sinned  &  come short

of the glory of God  -  Romans 3 v 23

2 )  To condemn ' human nature '  ( sin in the flesh )

God sending His own Son

in the likeness  of sinful flesh ...

condemned sin in the flesh  Romans 8 v 3

3 )  To provide a ' mediator ' between God & Man

For there is one God

one mediator between God  &  men ,

the ' man ' Christ Jesus  -  1 Timothy 2 v 5

OUR  RESPONSIBILITY :

As we cannot overcome sin completely ....

For I know that in me  ( in my flesh )  dwelleth no good thing :

for  to will  is present with me ;  but  to perform  that which is good , I find not.

For the good that I would , I do not :

but the evil which I would not , that I do  -  Romans 7 v 8

So we  must  believe  Jesus  did  overcome sin

&  that He was crucified  &  raised again

&  accept His sacrifice

by identification " in Baptism "

3 STEPS TO SALVATION
Untitled-003.jpg

1 )  BELIEF  -  is an ' essential ' pre-requisite

He that  BELIEVETH  &  is  baptised  shall be  saved

Mark 16 v 16

But when they  BELIEVED ... they were baptised

both men & women

Acts 8 v 12

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ :

for it is the ' power of Godunto salvation

to everyone  THAT BELIEVETH ;

. . .  to the Jew first   &  also  to the Greek

Rom 1v16

2 ) BAPTISM -  an ' identification ' with Christ

Except a man be  BORN OF WATER  &  the Spirit ,

he cannot enter into the kingdom of God

John 3 v 5

Peter said to them ... Repent  &  be BAPTISED every one of you

in the name of Jesus Christ ,  for the remission of sins

&  ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit

Acts 2 v 38

BAPTISM  doth also now save us

( not the putting away of the filth of the flesh ,

but the answer of a good conscience toward God )

by the resurrection of Jesus Christ

1 Peter 3 v 21

3 )  OBEDIENCE  -  living a ' Christ-like ' life

Wherefore , my beloved , as ye have

always OBEYED ,  not as in my presence only ,

but now much more in my absence

work out your own salvation  with fear  &  trembling

Philip'ns 2 v 12

Who  will  render to  ' every '  man  ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS

To them who by patient continuance in well doing

seek for glory & honour & immortality, eternal life

-  Romans 2 v 6

For if we sin  WILLFULLY  after that we have

received  the knowledge of the truth

there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins

- Hebrews 10v26

Glory , honour  &  peace to ' every ' man that  WORKETH GOOD

. . . to the Jew first  &  also to the Gentile

  -  Romans 2v10
