RUSSIAN GLOBAL CYBER-WAR : Putin's hackers attack Pentagon

PENTAGON - Russian is the leading suspect following a sophisticated cyber-attack on an email network at the Pentagon . The attack in July affected 4,000 military & civilian personnel working for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, & the network was shut down for two weeks. The existence of the attack, but not who was behind it , was first disclosed at the end of last month. It was a so-called spear-phishing attack in which people are tricked into opening bogus emails which then infect the network. US officials did not say whether the attack has been linked to individuals or the Russian government but said it was " sophisticated .” One official said: " It was a spear-phishing attack traced to that country (Russia) " Another told NBC News : " It was clearly the work of a state actor.” According to cyber-security companies there has been a large increase in attacks linked to the Russian government since sanctions were imposed last year over Moscow's actions in Ukraine.

PROPHECY INSIGHTS - As the pressure on Russia increases so does their aggression. We have seen how Vladimir Putin's forces are pushing against UK / US & European defences by flying bombers close to their borders. This report says that Russia is almost certainly behind a very sophisticated cyber attack against the Pentagon a few weeks ago. Again a few weeks ago the New York Stock Exchange, United Airlines & the Wall Street Journal ( all massive & iconic U.S. instiutions ) all suffered what have been termed ' technical glitches ’ . . . perhaps not ' co-incidently ' ALL on one tumultuous day !!! The New York Stock Exchange suspended trading & the United Airlines grounded all of its flights creating widspread mayhem & fear. If another nation can disrupt a countries technology this is a very “ simple ” way of bringing chaos. As we approach the " time of trouble such as never was " we may well expect to see increasing trouble with technology that we rely on. Russia used cyber attacks on Georgia just before it invaded in 2008 !!!
